Fried Onion Bites on Toothpicks

Fried onion is sweet and tasty!
Stick the onion with a toothpick when slicing it so it doesn't fall apart. This makes them so much easier to work with.

Ingredients

Onion
1/2
Salt and pepper
To taste
Toothpicks
Several
Batter (for those with allergies)
☆ Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon
☆ Joshinko
About 5 tablespoons (Enough to make sure the batter is thick)
☆ Water
About 5 tablespoons (enough to make sure the batter is thick)
Panko (rice flour based)
To taste

Steps

1. Push a toothpick into the onion and cut. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. (Please make sure to push the toothpick all the way in)
2. After that, make a normal batter using flour, egg, and panko. Cover the onion in batter, deep-fry in 180℃ oil and it's done.
3. Below is a batter especially for those with allergies.
4. Mix the ☆ ingredients and make sure the batter is nice and thick. Dip the onion in and completely cover with batter.
5. Rice flour-based panko. (Recipe ID: 974875)
6. Deep fry the onion in 180℃ oil with the toothpicks in them and they're done.
