Toasted Silken Tofu with Cheese

Warm tofu for cold winter days.
It will warm you right up.
Since kids love the cheese, soy sauce, and bonito flakes, this is good as a snack too.
Be careful not to burn yourself.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Silken tofu
1 block
Cheese (any type)
to taste
Dashi soy sauce
to taste
Bonito flakes
to taste
Shiso, leek (optional)
to taste


1. Put the tofu in a heat-resistant container and microwave.
2. Top Step 1 with cheese and dashi soy sauce (to help it brown quickly), and toast it in the toaster oven until crispy.
3. Sprinkle with bonito flakes, shiso, leek etc. (The picture shows shredded parsley). Add soy sauce for more flavor if needed and eat with a spoon.

Since it's too cold to eat chilled tofu in the winter, I came up with a warm dish.
