Use your hands to tear the bread into tiny pieces as small as possible. It doesn't have to be pretty! Add the ★ ingredients to a bowl, microwave for 40-50 seconds, then mix.
Add bread to the bowl and mix together. Once the mixture has completely cooled use your hands to roll into small balls. Refrigerate and they're done!
For Baked Chocolate: In Step 2, once you've formed balls, flatten with a spoon. Bake in preheated oven at 160℃ for 20 minutes.
This cooked chocolate is similar to Galbo chocolate. Crispy, but the chocolate is moist. Warning: either method, you'll find yourself addicted to these!
Story Behind this Recipe
A snack to use up stale bread.
The top image is the frozen version. ■If the chocolate is a bit loose, add bread crumbs. ■If you cool well in Step 2, they'll be easier to roll into balls. ■When baked: Once they've baked let cool on a baking sheet. Even if they're soft right after baking, once they've cooled, they'll become crispy.
