Chewy Taro Root and Cheese Croquettes

The chewy taro root balls are seasoned with instant corn soup powder.

Ingredients: 7-8 servings

Taro root
Net weight 500 - 800 g
Bite-sized cheese balls
24 - 25
Instant corn soup
2 packets
Salt and pepper
to your liking
as needed


1. Steam the taro root until tender enough for a skewer to pierce easily, peel the skin, and mash roughly.
2. Combine the corn soup powder into Step 1 and mash. Check the taste and season with salt and pepper, mash and mix until there are no lumps.
3. Take a portion of Step 2, put a piece of cheese inside, form into balls, and coat with panko.
4. The freshly fried croquettes are delicate, so let them cool without touching them.
