Cute One-Bite Sushi

I use a gomoku (5-ingredient) sushi rice mix so it's easy. Try this on New Year's Day, at parties or when you have guests!

Ingredients: 15 to 20 small aluminium foil cups' worth

Gomoku (5-ingredient) sushi rice mix such as Nagatanien Sushitaro with black vinegar
1 packet
● Warm cooked rice
500 g
A) Boiled shrimp
A) Avocado sprinkled with lemon juice
To taste
B) Kamaboko (red)
As needed
B) Mitsuba
As needed
C) Cherry tomato
As needed
C) Sliced cheese
As needed
C) Daiko radish sprouts
As needed
D) Lotus root simmered in water with vinegar
As needed
D) Cucumber
As needed
D) Imitation crab sticks
As needed
D) Gingko nuts
As needed
E) Smoked salmon
As needed
E) Shiso leaves
As needed
E) Grated yuzu peel
As needed


1. Put the warm rice and the gomoku sushi rice mix in a bowl, and mix together rapidly.
2. Put 2 to 3 mouthfuls of the rice in each aluminium (or other material) cups. Sprinkle with nori seaweed and sesame seeds, and add the toppings of your choice. Here are the combinations:
3. A) Shrimp + avocado + mayonnaise:
4. B) Kamaboko + mitsuba leaves + yuzu pepper paste
5. C) Cherry tomato + sliced cheese + daikon radish sprouts
6. D) Lotus root + cucumber + crab stick + gingko nut
7. E) Smoked salmon + Shiso leaf + Grated yuzu peel

My family loves sushi, but I thought they'd be really happy if I made sushi like this.
