Story Behind this Recipe
My children aren't too fond of fish, but they will eat up this salad-like dish pretty well. The fishiness disappears with a sprinkle of sake, so it's easy to season.
I made the sauce slightly sweet to make it easier for children to eat. If you are serving this to adults, you can omit the sugar if you like. You can use cod or chicken instead of salmon. If the cooking sake evaporates before the salmon is cooked through, add a bit more and keep steam-cooking.
