Mashed Sweet Potatoes- For Bentos Too

Mashed sweet potatoes with the refreshing taste of lemon. There's cheese in it too, and it's delicious.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Sweet potato
200 g peeled
Small individually-wrapped cheese
Condensed milk
2 to 3 tablespoons
1 1/2 tablespoons or so
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
A small amount
Sesame seeds
To taste


1. Peel the sweet potato (leave a little of the skin on) and cut up roughly. Microwave for 3 minutes at 700 W. Mash while hot.
2. Add the condensed milk, lemon juice, and milk to the mashed potato and mix. When the mash has cooled down a bit, tear the cheese and add it in. Add a little salt and mix.
3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to taste and it's done.
4. I recommend forming it into balls and putting it in a bento.

Story Behind this Recipe

We got a lot of sweet potatoes as a gift, so I thought of kuri kinton (a chestnut and mashed sweet potato dish) and came up with this recipe.
