Easy in a Rice Cooker! Tomato Rice

An easy and healthy tomato rice recipe. Serve with stews.

Ingredients: 2 cups (360 ml)

White rice
2 rice cooker cups (360 ml)
2 cups (400 ml)
Canned tomatoes (whole)
200 g
1 teaspoon


1. Wash and drain the rice, then transfer to the rice cooker pot. Add the 400 ml of water and leave to soak. Thinly slice the onion.
2. Lightly crush the canned tomatoes (if they are chopped, use as-is). Add on top of the rice, along with the onion and salt. Cook in the rice cooker as normal.
3. When cooked, crush up and remaining lumps of tomato, mix well, and it's done.

I wasn't bothered to fry any of the ingredients, so I just put them all in the rice cooker.
