★Make the pie crust: Add the flour and butter to a bowl. Mix together with your fingers until crumbly.
Once the mixture has become crumbly, pour water and bring it all together. Wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
★ Make the Filling: Thinly slice the apples. Combine the apples, sugar, and water into a saucepan and boil on low heat until soft.
Take out the pie crust, roll it out thinly, and cut out the shapes.
Spoon the filling on a cut out circle, lay another on top and press down the edges along with a fork. Poke a hole in the center with the fork.
Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and put on the pie crusts. Bake for 10 minutes in a 210ºC preheated oven, cool on a rack, and they're done!

Story Behind this Recipe
I used the pie crust recipe that I always make for these apple pies.
・These are moderately sweet. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. ・ Don't put in too much filling! It will leak while baking. ・ In Step 2, don't over knead the dough! If you mix too much, it will harden and will be difficult to roll out thinly.
