Hamburger Patties, Better Than A Restaurant?

Hamburger Patties, Better Than A Restaurant?

The smell when you're cooking them is unbelievable!
Tastes professional even though they are simple. The secret is in the yakiniku sauce.

Ingredients: 5 servings

●Ground mixture of pork and beef
400 g
●Large egg
a small amount
●Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) sauce
2 tablespoons
40 g
150 ml
For the sauce:
80 g
Soft light brown sugar
2 tablespoons
Grated garlic
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
200 ml

1. Soak the panko in the milk. Mince the onion.
2. Put everything from Step 1 and ● ingredients into a bowl and mix (you don't have to knead it too much).
3. Heat some oil in a frying pan on high heat. While it is heating up, divide the mixture into 5, and form round patties (the patties will be quite soft).
4. Cook over high heat for 1-2 minutes, and then flip over. Cook for another 10 minutes on a low to medium heat.
5. Put the ingredients for the sauce into a small saucepan, and start heating. Once it has reduced and thickened, the sauce is ready.
6. Serve the hamburger patty on a plate, and pour the sauce over it. Done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I perfected this recipe over many years for my daughter who didn't like hamburgers! Now, she says "it's better than restaurants". It's all down to the yakiniku sauce though.
