Try it for Halloween! Simple Meat Pie 2009

I wanted to make a pumpkin shaped pie for Halloween.
It's perfect as the main dish for a Halloween party. Children will also love it.


Frozen puff pastry
Mixture of ground pork and beef
500 g
Canned tomatoes
1/2 can
Consomme bouillon cube
Salt and pepper
to taste
as needed
1 tablespoon


1. How about this for a party spread?
2. Sauté the garlic and onion, add the ground meat, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the canned tomato and consomme bouillon, and simmer.
4. Add katakuriko to thicken, if needed.
5. Parboil the spinach.
6. Cut puff pastry into pumpkin shapes, spread the meat and spinach on top of one sheet, then top with the other sheet. Use a fork to press down along the edges.
7. With the leftover pastry, cut out the letters HALLOWEEN. Brush with watered egg yolk mixture.
8. Bake for 30 minutes in oven set to 390F/200C.
