Onion and Bell Pepper Miso Stir Fry - Great in Bentos

Onion and bell pepper stir fried with miso! The fragrance of the miso and the sweetness of the onion go very well together. It's easy, and is a nice side dish for dinner with rice and a great bento item too.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Onion (medium)

Red bell pepper

Vegetable oil
As needed
★ Miso
2 tablespoons
★Sugar
2 tablespoons
★ Sake
2 tablespoons
★ Dashi stock granules
To taste

Steps

1. Cut up the onion and pepper in any way you like.
2. Combine the ★ ingredients.
3. Heat oil in a pan, and stir fry the onion.
4. When the onion has more or less cooked, add the bell peppers.
5. When the bell peppers are cooked, add the combined miso sauce ingredients in one go, and bring it rapidly to a boil over high heat. When the sauce is evenly distributed and the miso is fragrant it's done.
