Slice the sweet potato into 1.5-2 cm thick slices.
The steamed sweet potato slices will look more refined if soaked in a bowl of water to get rid of the excess starch before steaming them (this step is optional).

I tried baking fiber-packed sweet potato in the oven, microwave, and grill. But unfortunately, the moisture of the sweet potato evaporated by these cooking methods, and the sweet potato got stuck in my throat, making it hard to swallow, so I eventually got tired of eating it. But still, I was searching for that easy-to-eat sweet potato, and after many trials, I ended up with this steaming method.
The only hint is to steam it! Slice the sweet potato to shorten the cooking time, and steam it to add moisture to the sweet potato which become tender and easy to eat! You can easily strain the sweet potato, making it simple to prepare sweet potato cakes or other snacks.
