Fluffy Nagaimo Yam and Tofu Gratin

This is a light and fluffy yet hearty gratinéed dish!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Nagaimo yam
Silken tofu
1 block
Cheese that melts
to taste
to taste


1. Grate the yam.
2. Wrap the tofu with a paper towel and microwave for 1 minute to remove the moisture.
3. Combine the grated yam with the tofu from Step 2 and mash. Mix in the beaten egg. Flavor with mentsuyu.
4. Top with cheese and keep your eye on it as it bakes for 20 minutes in a 200°C oven.

Since I always eat nagaimo in the same fashion all the time, I wanted to try something different.
