Chicken Soboro and Egg Onigiri Sandwich

You can make an easy-to-eat sandwich made with chicken soboro. You use a sheet of plastic wrap so your hands won't get dirty!
This is an onigiri sandwich with the great fragrance of ginger.

Ingredients: 2 pieces

Cooked white rice
2 bowls
a small amount
Nori seaweed (squares)
2 teaspoons
Vegetable oil
as needed
Minced chicken
150 g
[Seasonings for the chicken soboro]
Water (or dashi stock if you have it)
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1/2 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
1/2 piece
Vegetable oil
as needed


1. Heat some oil in a frying pan and cook the chicken. Once the chicken has changed color, add the seasonings and cook until the liquid has been absorbed.
2. Put the two eggs and sake in a bowl, mix, and lightly cook. Make 2 sheets.
3. Put the nori sheets on top of some plastic wrap.
4. Put some rice in the center and make a well so that you can add a lot of soboro. You can do this easily with a spoon.
5. Top it with an egg sheet and the chicken soboro. Add some more rice on top.
6. Fold up the four corners using the plastic wrap. This will keep your hands clean.
7. Then, let them sit wrapped.
8. Cut in half with a knife will still wrapped. Your onigiri sandwiches are done!

Story Behind this Recipe

My mom makes ground meat onigiri, but it's crumbly and always breaks apart while I eat. So, I thought if I wrapped it up in egg, it would make an easy-to-eat sandwich.
