Shrimp and Onions in a Mild Aurora Sauce

This is a hearty dish with lots of onions added to my usual shrimp and mayonnaise recipe.

Ingredients: 6 people

Shrimp

○Sake
1 tablespoon
○Katakuriko
2 tablespoons
○Salt
a pinch
Ginger, garlic (finely chopped)
a little
Onion
2 onions
Eggs

●Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
●Ketchup
3 tablespoons
●Salt and pepper
a small amount
Chopped green onion
to taste

Steps

1. Shell the shrimp and do the preliminary prepping; season with ○ flavoring. Thinly slice the onions, and whisk the eggs.
2. Don't throw out the shrimp shells . Use them in my furikake recipe - Recipe ID: 850179.
3. Pour oil (not listed) in a pan, saute the ginger and garlic until aromatic, and brown the seasoned shrimp on both sides.
4. You do not have to cook them all the way through, browning it is enough.
5. Momentarily take out the shrimp from step 3, and saute the thinly sliced onions in the same pan.
6. Add the shrimp back into the pan once the onions have wilted, and flavor with the ● sauce.
7. Add the whisked eggs once the shrimp has become evenly coated in the sauce...
8. Scatter green onions for the finishing touch.
9. I ate this dish for lunch right after I gave birth to my second son, so it's full of memories for me!

Story Behind this Recipe

I didn't have enough shrimp to make my usual shrimp-and-mayonnaise, so I increased the volume by adding onions, and egg to make the flavor mild and well rounded!
