Ultra-Easy Tomato Potage Soup

Ultra-Easy Tomato Potage Soup

This is the second in my series of ultra-easy potage recipes.
It's really easy to make with tomato juice.
It's delicious with the distinct tartness of tomato.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Tomato juice (unsalted)
400 ml
100 ml
10 g
Consomme soup stock granules
1 tablespoon
200 ml
a pinch
Oregano or parsley
a little

1. Peel and roughly chop the potato into small chunks and put the pieces in a saucepan. Add the roughly chopped onion, tomato juice, consomme and butter, and simmer.
2. When the potato has softened, remove from the heat and mix in a blender.
3. Pour the mixture into the saucepan, add the milk and warm over a low heat. Add a pinch of sugar to season. (Keep mixing it so it doesn't burn.)
4. Pour it into serving bowls, top with oregano and parsley, and enjoy. (You can also add the oregano together with the milk.)
5. It's also tasty when chilled. If you are serving it cold, add a generous amount of milk.
6. "Ultra-Easy Kabocha Potage" (Recipe ID: 843648) This is quite tasty too.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is the second of my ultra easy soup series, the first being kabocha soup. I wanted to try making it with a different taste.
