Charaben: Rhinoceros & Stag Beetles

You can make the rhinoceros and stag beetles your kids love so much from just a single sausage.
Hopefully, your kids will look forward to lunch time.

Ingredients

Sausage (I used a red weiner sausage)

Steps

1. Cut the sausage in half.
2. <For a Rhinoceros Beetle> Cut as shown in the photo.
3. <Rhinoceros Beetle> Cut little lines into the sausage as shown. The yellow lines will become its feet.
4. <Stag Beetle> Cut the sausage as shown in the photo.
5. <Stag Beetle> Cut little lines into the sausage as shown. The yellow lines will become its feet.
6. Sauté in the frying pan and it's done. Note: You can also boil them.
7. If the sausages are longer, then cut off about 5-6 cm and use that.
8. They'll look this!

Story Behind this Recipe

This is something I made because my kids wanted it for their bento. Their friends at school also really enjoyed it.
