Tasty Grilled Onigiri (Rice Balls) No. 7

Grilled onigiri revolution!

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Plain cooked white rice
About 1 rice cooker cup (180 ml)
● White sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
● Scallions
To taste
●Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
1 tablespoon
● Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons
Vegetable oil
As needed
Mentsuyu (for seasoning)
As needed

Steps

1. Add the ● ingredients to the rice, taking care not to mash the grains. Shape the rice into firmly packed triangular cakes.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, and cook both sides of the onigiri on medium heat until well cooked.
3. Once both surfaces are crispy brown, drizzle men-tsuyu on top, immediately remove from heat, and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to contribute my children's favorite grilled onigiri to the Tasty Onigiri series.
