Cardamon Rice for Curry

This is rice with cardamon.
It goes great with curry.

Ingredients: 4 rice cups' worth

Rice (Bastami, brown, or Japanese)
4 cups (720 ml)
Rock salt (I used Himalayan salt)
1/3-1/2 teaspoon
400 ml or more
Cardamon (whole pod)


1. Rinse the rice well. Add the salt, water, and cardamon, and let sit for 20 minutes. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and steam. This takes a bit less than 15 minutes on my stove.
2. Once steamed, fluff it all up. Enjoy it with curry.

4. For guests, I remove the cardamon from the rice before serving. Feel free to serve it as you like.
