Mini Pizza Bites - For Kids' Parties or Appetizers

Mini Pizza Bites - For Kids' Parties or Appetizers

Mini pizza bites, made with cookie cutters. They are small, and even children can eat them in one bite. They are a great appetizer for your drinks, too. You can top them with whatever you like.

Ingredients: 4~6 servings

Pizza dough
Bread (strong) flour
100 g
1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil
1/2~1 tablespoon
7 g
Lukewarm water
40~50 ml
Tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade)
20 g~
Cheese (mozzarella/pizza mix)
50 g~
Toppings of your choice
as needed

1. Combine the bread flour with the salt, olive oil and yeast, and add luke warm water and mix. Leave the mixture at room temperature for more than 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
2. Punch down the dough. Dust with flour and roll it out to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Preheat the oven to 200℃.
3. Put the tomato sauce (I used store-bought tomato sauce with basil) on top of the dough using a spoon.
4. Add the cheese on top. Then add the minced toppings of your choice. (I only used cheese.) Bake in the oven for 10~15 minutes.
5. You can bake them quickly as they are small, and the dough is thin. I baked mine for about 10 minutes at 200℃
6. You can use store-bought pizza crust instead of homemade dough. Homemade tomato sauce is fine as well. Taco sauce is a great alternative for grownups.

Story Behind this Recipe

I changed some of my friend's special recipe. I made the dough with olive oil, not butter. I made them for an appetizer.
