Easy Rich Pasta Carbonara with Milk and Whole Egg

I'm so happy that lots of people have made this recipe!
Heavy cream?! With only egg yolks?! What a waste, no way!!
Make use of the ingredients you have in your refrigerator!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Pasta of your choice (short pasta works too)
200 g
Bacon or Ham
as much as you want
Onion (medium size)
1 / 2
Olive oil
for frying
Garlic (finely-chopped)
as needed
Salt and Black pepper
to taste
150 ml or more
◆Sliced cheese, or any kind except "Easy-melt" processed cheese
3 slices, or as much as you want
Whole egg


1. Preparation: Slice onion and cut bacon into bite-size pieces. Boil pasta for a few minutes less than as instructed on the package.
2. Medium heat: Heat olive oil and garlic in a frying pan. Sauté the bacon and throw in the onion.
3. Turn down to low heat: Add the ingredients marked ◆ into the pan to melt the cheese. ※Tear the cheese into small pieces to melt it easily ♪
4. Very low heat: When the cheese melts, toss in the cooked pasta and season with salt and black pepper.
5. Turn off the heat: Pour the whisked egg into the pasta and stir immediately.
6. Combine the egg with the pasta in residual heat and it's done! Serve immediately with a generous amount of black pepper.

I wanted to cook pasta carbonara with cheap ingredients .
When I had carbonara in Italy, there wasn't heavy cream in it.
