Shiny and Sweet Glazed Carrots

These carrot slices turn out so sweet and delicious, they're almost like a dessert! It's our family recipe for glazed carrots. The glaze looks really pretty.


★ Butter
1 tablespoon
★ Granulated sugar
2 teaspoons
★ Salt
to taste


1. Slice the carrot. Shave the sharp edges off the carrot slices.
2. Put the slices in a pan with just enough water to cover. Add the ★ ingredients, and simmer until there's no liquid left in the pan. Keep an eye on it so that it doesn't burn. The surfaces of the carrots should become slightly candied.
