Cantonese Noodles- Authentic Chinese Food at Home

This is delicious!
It's just as good as the Cantonese noodles served at a Chinese restaurant!!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Topping:
Napa cabbage
1/8
Carrot
1/3
Green pepper
1
Quail eggs
8
Onion
1/2
Bean sprouts
1/2 bag
Wood ear mushrooms
2 to 4 g
Thinly sliced pork rib meat
200 g
Soup:
Water
1 and 1/2 liters
Chinese soup stock
2 to 3 tablespoons
Soy sauce
4 tablespoons
Oyster sauce
4 to 6 tablespoons
Pepper
a small amount
Other:
Katakuriko slurry
as needed
Ramen noodles
4 servings

Steps

1. Chop the topping ingredients into bite-sized pieces. Soak the wood ear mushrooms in hot water to reconstitute.
2. Put the pork in a frying pan and sauté until cooked through.
3. Add the rest of the topping ingredients and lightly sauté until evenly coated in oil.
4. Put the soup ingredients in a pot. Adjust the seasoning with soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste. You can also use salt.
5. When the vegetables are cooked, add the dissolved katakuriko to thicken to your desired consistency. I like mine very thick.
6. Boil the noodles, transfer to a bowl, add the soup, then serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I based this recipe on the noodles my mother used to make.
