Spicy Onion and Shimeji Mushrooms with Ketchup

The red chili pepper and black pepper make it spicy.
It's also good for bento lunch boxes.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Shimeji mushrooms
1 pack
◆ Olive oil
2 tablespoons
3 to 4 tablespoons
1 pepper cut into thin round slices
◆ Salt and pepper
To taste
◆Oregano leaf
(If available, as desired)
1 pinch
Black pepper
as much as you like


1. Slice the onions into about 5 mm thin. Break up the shimeji mushrooms.
2. Put the sliced onions and all the ◆ingredients in a pan and let the ingredients coat the onions. Put a lid on the pan and steam it for about 10 to 12 minutes in strong heat.
3. Once it softens to your liking, remove the lid and cook the liquid down. Add some salt to adjust the taste.
4. Add sugar if you like it sweeter. Add black pepper and mix a little then it is ready. It's also delicious even when cold.
