Grilled Taro Root, Nori, Sesame Seeds and Cheese

Just pile it up and grill! The bacon, nori, and taro root make a great combination! It's great as an appetizer or snack.


Taro root
About 10
Cheese (Mozzarella, Parmesan, etc)
a handful
1 slice
Flavored nori seaweed
1 pack
Roasted sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon
Mayonnaise and panko
as needed


1. Defrost the taro root (strain the water well). Mince the bacon.
2. Arrange the taro root in a heatproof container, then sprinkle plenty of salt.
3. Top with cheese.
4. Top with bacon.
5. Finely shred up the nori and sprinkle it on top, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6. Spread mayonnaise on top.
7. Scatter some panko on top, then grill in the oven. If it begins to burn, cover with aluminum foil. It's ready once the cheese has melted.
