Chicken Tsukune Patties with Okara

This is a diet recipe to use up okara.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Ground chicken
250 g
Fresh okara
150 g
Carrot
3 cm
Onion
1/2
Egg
1
Ginger
1 thumb
Katakuriko
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 teaspoons
a. Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
a. Mirin
3 tablespoons
a. Sake
2 tablespoons
a. Water
2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil
as needed

Steps

1. Mince the carrot, onion, and ginger (it's easier to use a food processor). Mix the patty ingredients (meat, okara, carrot, onion, egg, and ginger), and add the soy sauce and katakuriko.
2. Heat oil in a frying pan, shape the meat into circular patties with your hands and fry both sides.
3. When almost cooked through, pour in the [a] sauce ingredients, and coat the meat with the sauce.
