3 Minute Fried Rice

3 Minute Fried Rice

This fried rice follows the "simple is best" motto. This is a standard dish for our family when we want an easy lunch.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Cooked rice
1 serving
Eggs
2
Japanese leek, finely chopped
to taste (optional)
Weipa
2 teaspoons
Sesame oil
as needed
Salt, pepper, black pepper
to taste

Steps

1. Beat the egg well. Add the Weipa to the egg. (It's okay if it's in a clump.) Heat a frying pan and add the olive oil. Pour in the egg.
2. On high heat, use chopsticks to stir around the egg while breaking apart the Weipa. Once the egg is half cooked, add the rice. Cook the rice while breaking it apart.
3. Once it becomes crumbly, add the leek. Taste and season with salt and pepper (not listed) to finish.
4. Top with black pepper for an adult flavor that goes well with beer.
5. I used assorted grain rice for the main photo. The color isn't very nice, but the taste is not affected.

Story Behind this Recipe

This "simple is best" flavor is what my son loves most.
