Onion Gratin Soup

Perfect for cold days. It tastes sweet and peppery topped with melted cheese. This is a very rich soup.


Caramelized onion
1 cup
Consomme soup (weak)
3 cups
as needed
Grated cheese
as needed
Easy melting cheese
use as much as you like
Salt and pepper
a small amount


1. Please refer to Recipe ID: 858839 "Cut the time! Definitely tasty caramelized onion."
2. Add water or consommé soup little by little, while scraping the sides and the bottom.
3. If you added water in Step 2, add consommé cubes and simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Put lightly toasted baguette, easy melting cheese, and grated cheese (double the cheese).
5. Heat in a toaster, and the soup is done when the cheese is slightly browned. It takes about 3-5 minutes in my toaster.
