Easy Pork Rice Bowl in the Microwave

A 5 minute recipe that's seasoned with Chinese chicken stock.


Thinly sliced pork
75 g
50 g
Maitake mushrooms
50 g
2 tablespoons
2 teaspoons
2 teaspoons
Usukuchi soy sauce
2 teaspoons
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Chinese chicken stock powder
1/2 teaspoon
Grated ginger
to taste
to taste
Hot cooked rice
1 bowl
Pickled red ginger
to taste


1. Cut the pork into bite sizes and slice the onion thinly. Remove the root ends of the maitake mushrooms and shred
2. Combine the A condiments in a heatproof container and arrange in alternate layers of pork, onion and maitake mushrooms.
3. Wrap the container with cling film loosely and microwave at 500 W for 2 minutes. Take out from the microwave and mix well, then microwave for another 3 minutes.
4. Serve hot rice in a bowl and transfer the pork on the rice. Top with the pickled red ginger and spoon the leftover gravy on top.
