Juicy Chinese Stewed Pork Belly Blocks

Juicy Chinese Stewed Pork Belly Blocks

Just cook the meat in a frying pan until browned, place into a pressure cooker for 15 minutes, and combine with the sauce to finish! Adding star anise will make this taste like an authentic stewed pork belly.

Ingredients: 3 servings

Pork belly
1 block (600 g)
Boiling Water
2 teaspoons
Japanese leek
green section of 1 onion
Grated garlic
1 teaspoon
Grated ginger
1 teaspoon
Chicken stock granules
1 cup water + 1 teaspoon granules
Star anise
3 cut open
Shaoxing wine or sake
1 tablespoon
Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
a small amount
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

1. Cut the pork belly block horizontally into 3 sections. Pan-fry until crispy browned.
2. Boil. Place the meat into the pressure cooker and pour in enough water to just cover the meat. Add the ginger and leek. Pressurize for 15 minutes. Leave it as is until it's time to open the lid.
3. Flavor. Cut the boiled pork into 2-3 pieces vertically. Pour in all of the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Coat the meat with the sauce as it boils down.
