Cucumber Pickles for Burgers

Cucumber Pickles for Burgers

The good thing about making your own pickles is that you can adjust the sweetness to your taste. Serve on the side with burgers!

Ingredients: 2 pickled cucumbers

2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
Wine vinegar
2 tablespoons
2 to 2.5 teaspoons
1/2 heaping teaspoon
Garlic (sliced)
1/2 clove
Peppercorns (crushed)
about 2
Bay leaf
Red chili pepper

1. Roll the cucumbers on a cutting board with salt. Wash the salt off and cut into any size you like. Blanch for 10 seconds in boiling water.
2. Put all the flavoring ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Put the liquid in a plastic bag or container or jar with the pickles. Store in the refrigerator.
3. You can eat the pickles after 1 day. If you cut the cucumbers up thinly, you can eat them in a few hours.
4. Day 1. At this size, they probably should be pickled a bit longer.
5. Day 2. Once they look like this, they're ready to be served.

Story Behind this Recipe

Commercially made pickles are too sweet or just not to my taste, so I decided to make my own.
