I Always Make This Boiled Chicken When I Buy Chicken Breasts

Chicken breasts are healthy but they don't taste very good when they are all dried out. I played with some different ways of cooking and came up with this method. This is my family's standard dish.

Ingredients: 1 chicken breast

Chicken breast
Celery leaves
As needed
1 slice (thinly sliced)
2 tablespoons
1/2 teaspoon
Sesame dressing (store-bought one is fine)
White sesame seed paste
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 teaspoons
1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon
Chicken broth
2 tablespoons


1. Bring plenty of water to a boil in a pot.
2. Prepare the celery leaves and thinly sliced ginger. (No need to peel the ginger skin.)
3. Add the salt, chicken breast, celery leaves and ginger in the pot, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and cool down them in the pot.
4. Mix the ingredients for the sesame dressing. Stir well to avoid clumps. (Other types of dressings are also fine, so use your favorite one if you like.)
5. Slice the chicken diagonally into bite size strips. Serve on a plate.

Story Behind this Recipe

I don't like the smell from chicken so I added celery, which is my favorite, to give nice aroma. I tried to find a proper boiling method for the chicken breast to keep it moist, and I came up with this recipe.
