Chinese-style Sesame Soup with Bacon and Lettuce

Here's a sesame-flavored Chinese soup with crunchy lettuce and fluffy eggs. It's simple and tasty.

Ingredients: 3 to 4 servings

Lettuce
3 to 4 leaves
Onion
1/2 medium
Bacon or ham
4 slices
Eggs

☆Water
800 ml
☆Powdered chicken stock
1.5 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
★Ground sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
★Salt and pepper
A small amount
Add a few drops of sesame oil to finish

Steps

1. Thinly slice the onion. Slice the bacon into 1cm strips. Chop the lettuce into bite-sizes. Beat the eggs.
2. In boiled water, add onion, ham, and ☆ chicken stock. Boil for 4-5 minutes over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent.
3. Season with the ★ ingredients, and add the lettuce. Bring to a boil again, and add the egg by letting it trickle down a chopstick. Cover the pot and it's done in 10 seconds. Don't stir it.
4. Ladle into bowls, and add a few drops of sesame oil to finish. Also add ra-yu spicy oil if you like it hot. I added bacon to the soup this time!
