Macrobiotic ● Tofu and Banana Chocolate Mousse ●

This is an easy macrobiotic mousse with silken tofu.
The chocolate and banana flavor make it popular for dieters and children.

Ingredients: An easy-to-make amount

Silken tofu
300 g
2 (net weight about 200 g)
Soy milk
100 ml
50 ml
Powdered kanten
3 g
Cocoa powder
1 tablespoon
Maple syrup
to taste


1. Put the lightly drained tofu, soy milk, bananas, cocoa powder, and maple syrup in a blender, and blend until smooth. (I use 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.)
2. Heat the water and kanten powder in a pot, bring to boil, then add the blended mixture a little at a time. Turn off the heat just before it comes to a boil.
3. Pour the mixture into a mold or glass, then chill in the refrigerator until it sets. Adjust the amount of maple syrup to taste.
