Lightly Pickled Spicy Celery

For celery lovers and non-lovers, people with time or without, this is a nice little snack.

Ingredients: 2 servings

1 stalk
a) Soy sauce
1.5 tablespoon
a) Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
a) Ra-yu
1 teaspoon
a) Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon
a) Sugar
1/3 teaspoon
to taste
White sesame seeds
1 teaspoon
Red chili pepper (to taste)


1. Wash and dry the celery. Remove the fibers. Cut into 5cm long pieces. Lightly salt.
2. Mix the "a" ingredients together. Pour the mixture into a plastic container or plastic bag and add the celery. Set aside for 10 minutes (add chili pepper to taste).
3. Just before serving, garnish with sesame seeds.
