Healthy!♪ Tofu Wrapped in Sliced Pork in Sweet and Salty Sauce

I wrapped tofu with sliced pork and cooked in a sweet-savory sauce. I made up this recipe for a hanami cherry blossom viewing party picnic and everyone loved it. Of course you can make this for dinner too!

Ingredients

Thinly sliced pork
14 slices
Firm tofu
300g
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
●Water
80ml
● Dashi stock granules
1 teaspoon
Mirin
2 tablespoons
●Sugar
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons

Steps

1. After draining the tofu slice into 12~14 baton shaped pieces.
2. Wrap the tofu tightly with the sliced pork.
3. Heat the sesame oil in the frying pan and place the pork wrapped tofu in sealed edge down. Fry both sides. Pour in the ● ingredients and cover with a lid to simmer.
4. As it simmers check the water content of the sauce and turn the wrapped tofu. When the sauce is reduced and thickened, transfer to a serving plate. Serve.
