Avocado, Fresh Tuna, Nagaimo, and Tomato

Avocado and maguro (lean tuna) is already a standard combination, but I added nagaimo, which also goes well with maguro, as well as sweet and tart tomatoes, to create a colorful and pretty salad.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Fresh sashimi grade maguro (lean tuna)
About the same amount as the avocado
Nagaimo (about 4 cm in diameter)
about 6 cm
1 small
Canola oil
about 1 teaspoon
about 1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
about 2/3 tablespoon
Wasabi paste
To taste
a small amount


1. Dissolve the wasabi in the soy sauce. Cut up the maguro, and add to the wasabi soy sauce. Marinate in the refrigerator (about 10 minutes).
2. Mix canola oil, ponzu sauce and salt together. Cut up the vegetables to about the same size as the maguro tuna, and mix well with above.
3. Add the marinated maguro tuna and it's done.
