Cut the tomato and onion into 1 cm dice.
Raw onion has a harsh flavor, so rinse it quickly in water.
Put the cut up tomato and onion in a bowl.
Mix the yogurt, vegetables and salt and pepper together well.
Add some finely chopped fresh coriander, and it's done.

We always serve this yogurt raita with Indian style curry. The combination of curry, rice and raita is really great.
You can add various other vegetables besides the ones listed here. For instance try boiled potatoes, cucumber, or bell peppers finely diced and mixed in. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder also.
