Finger-Food Okonomiyaki Pancake for Toddlers on Solid Foods

A finger-food okonomiyaki pancake full of veggies.

Ingredients

Potatoes, peeled and grated

Carrot, peeled and grated
1/2
Cabbage, stalk removed, minced
1 tablespoon
Katakuriko
about 3 tablespoons
Melting cheese
a pinch
Bonito flakes
1/2 packet
Sakura shrimp (tiny dried shrimp)
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, then mix with a rubber spatula (adjust to your desired consistency with katakuriko slurry).
2. Heat a thin layer of oil, then pour the batter into a coin-sized pancake (easy for little hands to hold). Fry both sides until golden, then serve once evenly cooked through to the center.
