Shiso Leaves and Sesame Seeds Pasta (Genovese Style)

I used shiso leaves instead of basil, and sesame seeds instead of pine nuts. The ingredients are inexpensive. It's an easy pasta that only requires mixing It's my husband's favorite.

Ingredients: 2 servings

about 200 g
Shiso leaves
about 20 leaves
Sesame seeds (ground)
about 2 tablespoons
about 1/4 teaspon
1 clove
Olive oil
about 2-4 tablespoons


1. Make the sauce. Add the shiso leaves, sesame seeds, salt, garlic, and olive oil into a food processor, and blend well.
2. Add salt into boiling water, and cook the pasta following the package instructions.
3. Mix the sauce and pasta in a bowl, and you're done Garnish with chopped tomatoes on top. It will add a nice colour to the dish.
