Chikuwa Gochujang Mayonnaise Melt

Just mix the ingredients, cover the chikuwa, and pop them in the toaster oven! You'll have an instant side dish.

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Chikuwa fishpaste sticks
4
Finely chopped scallions
2 tablespoons
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
Gochujang
1 to 2 teaspoons

Steps

1. Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise.
2. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl.
3. Lay a sheet of aluminum foil over a toaster tray, and place the halved chikuwa on top with the insides face up.
4. Fill the chikuwa with the sauce from Step 2.
5. Grill in a toaster oven for 3-4 minutes. Once they've browned to a nice color, they're ready to serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I came up with this dish when I was pressed for time but had scallions and chikuwa on hand.
I just spread sauce and popped them in the toaster oven.
