Chocolate Flavored Tofu Mousse

Chocolate Flavored Tofu Mousse

You can eat this dessert even if you are trying to lose weight or are on a macrobiotic diet. It has a rich cocoa taste. This recipe uses no oil, no eggs, and zero dairy products.

Ingredients: 2 servings

1/2 block
Unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons
Maple syrup
4 tablespoons
White sesame paste
1 tablespoon
Rum (or other liqueur)
1/2 teaspoon
Almonds, walnuts, etc.
as needed


1. Drain the tofu for around 20 minutes. This is "Pecchin's" method for "Simple Drained Tofu" (Recipe ID:508276).
2. Mix the tofu, maple syrup, cocoa, white sesame paste and liquor together with a hand mixer (or in a food processor) until smooth.
3. You can use either silken or firm tofu (firm tofu will give a richer flavor) but firm tofu tends to go lumpy, so blend it well.
4. Transfer to a glass cup or container and sprinkle on your preferred toppings. Chill in the refrigerator and eat. I made the patterns in the photos with a fork....
