Microwaved Steamed Bread & Steamed Dorayaki

This is a recipe for a single serving of steamed that you can enjoy straight from the cup! Since it's made in the microwave, you can whip it up in no time. Serve for breakfast on busy mornings?

Ingredients: One ramekin, 10 cm diameter x 5 cm tall (or two ramekins, 7 cm diameter x 3 cm tall)

Plain flour
25 g
Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon
Sugar
20 g
Egg
1
Vegetable oil
1 teaspoon
Powdered sakura (or coffee, matcha, etc.)
about 1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Put the flour and baking powder in a heatproof bowl and use a small whisk to whisk.
2. Mix in the sakura-ko and sugar. Then, mix in the egg and vegetable oil.
3. Cook uncovered in the microwave at 700 W for 1.5 minutes. Enjoy!
4. This is the yomogi version!
5. If you take it out of the ramekin and thinly slice in half, you can fill it with anko to make a dorayaki.
