Put the cabbage in a plastic bag with all the flavoring ingredients.
Blow up the plastic bag, close the opening and shake the bag to mix everything together.
Press the air out of the bag, and massage it. Moisture will come out of the cabbage and it will shrink in volume.
Transfer to a container with a tight fitting lid and store in the refrigerator.
If you use a ziplock bag, you can just store it in that.
With corn kernels and wakame seaweed as a salad.
Story Behind this Recipe
An easy way to make coleslaw!
The volume of the cabbage shrinks in no time, so you can make a ton of this and store it in the refrigerator (for 2 to 3 days). Adjust the seasoning to your taste. Add some corn to make it into a salad, put between bread with ham or other meat for a sandwich, or with a sausage to make a hot dog. Or use it to fill the gaps in a bento box!
