Cabbage & Baby Sardine Oyster Stir Fry

The cabbage is sweet and the oyster sauce makes for a simple yet rich stir fry.

Ingredients: 4 servings

300 g
a small amount
Oyster sauce
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Ginger (grated)
1/2 teaspoon
Chirimen jako - salted semi-dried tiny fish
a handful
Toasted sesame seeds
as needed
Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons


1. Chop the cabbage into 1 cm strips, add to a heat resistant plate and lightly cover with cling film. Microwave for roughly 2 minutes until wilted.
2. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat. When hot, add the cabbage, sprinkle over some salt and give a quick stir fry.
3. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, ginger and baby sardines into the pan as well and quickly stir-fry together over a high heat.
4. Add the contents of the frying pan to a plate, sprinkle over the sesame seeds and it's done.
