Moist & Fluffy Steamed Bread (Double Chocolate Flavor)

These will still be moist and fluffy the next day.

Ingredients: six 7 cm ramekins

Cake flour
80 g
Pure cocoa powder
20 g
Baking powder
1 teaspoon
50 g
100 ml
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Chocolate chips
40 g


1. Heat the steamer to prepare.
2. In a bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil and milk.
3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into the bowl.
4. Add the chocolate chips.
5. Place cupcake liners in the ramekins and pour in the batter.
6. Steam at high heat for 10 minutes.
7. These are still moist the next day, so they're perfect for lunches.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make steamed bread with rice flour, but I wasn't satisfied with the results but they were fine with wheat flour. After trial and error, I came up with a recipe using rice powder (Recipe ID: 1019683) "Gateau au Chocolat Steamed Bread with Rice Flour"
