Add salt to a generous amount of hot water and boil the pasta. Chop the avocado, mushrooms and bacon into large bite-sized pieces, and thinly slice the onion.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon and onion over a medium heat. When the onion has wilted, add the mushrooms and continue to fry.
Turn the heat to low and coat everything with the flour. Blend it in until it is no longer powdery. Add the milk and stir while heating. When it has thickened, add the avocado.
Adjust the taste with soy sauce, mix with the boiled pasta and transfer to a serving plate. Add sesame seeds and powdered cheese if you like, and enjoy.
Story Behind this Recipe
I'm on a mission to find tasty ways to enjoy avocado. I wanted to eat a creamy pasta that didn't contain any mayonnaise, heavy cream or butter.
If the liquid simmers down when you have added the milk, adjust with some of the water you used to boil the pasta. This works well with ham, sausage and tuna instead of bacon. Add plenty of your favorite kinds of mushrooms.
