Microwaved Strawberry Sauce - When You Just Need a Little in a Hurry

Microwaved Strawberry Sauce - When You Just Need a Little in a Hurry

This is perfect for yogurt or ice cream!
This strawberry sauce is a little bit thinner than jam.

Ingredients: 3-4 servings

Strawberries
100 g
Sugar
40 g
Lemon juice
1/2 tablespoon

Steps

1. Wash and hull the strawberries. Pat dry the excess water with a paper towel. (Cut large strawberries in half.)
2. Put the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a deep dish, and toss briefly.
3. Microwave for 2.5 minutes at 500 W without plastic wrap or lid.
4. Lightly mash the strawberries with a spoon, and mix.
5. Microwave again for another 1-1.5 minutes without plastic wrap.
6. Once it has cooled down a bit, refrigerate until chilled and it's done!
7. I used this sauce in Recipe ID: 741734 "Hot Strawberry Milk with Condensed Milk." The cute pink milk is so comforting!
8. I also used it in Recipe ID: 590568 "Easy Strawberry Yogurt Milk."

Story Behind this Recipe

I created this recipe when I wanted to have a small amount of strawberry sauce for yogurt or ice cream.
