Cabbage & Steamed Fried Eggs

Minced cabbage with vegetables for color topped with egg microwaved to steamed perfection. Mix the soft egg and vegetables when eating.

Ingredients: 1 serving

1-2 leaves (about 50 g)
Carrots, green peppers, etc
as desired to add color
Salt and pepper
as desired


1. Mince the cabbage and vegetables. I used 20 g of carrots this time. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
2. Add the vegetables to a deep heat-resistant container, cover with a lid and microwave for 30 seconds.
3. Create a shallow well in the center and carefully place the egg on top. Use a toothpick to poke a hole in the egg yolk.
4. Flavor the egg with salt and pepper if desired, close with a lid and microwave for a minute to a minute and a half, and it's complete.
5. If you like your eggs stiff, then microwave the egg at the beginning with the vegetables.

Story Behind this Recipe

Back then the school cafeteria would serve this in large aluminum cups.
We wouldn't eat it if it was just the vegetables, but with the egg it's delicious.
